History

Katie Maltsberger founded Katie's Dance Studio in 1966. Her studio is renowned for producing students who are well-trained. Many of Katie's students have gone on to dance professionally throughout the world. Recent alumni, Samuel Black and Dallas McMurray currently perform with the Mark Morris Dance Group.

Katie started dancing at the age of three and has performed professionally since the age of fourteen. Katie has been featured in musicals, corporate and professional shows with well known performers. She continues to choreograph professional shows and musical theater.

A San Francisco Bay Area native, Katie, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with  a specialization in Dance from California State University, Hayward. Katie is also a certified member of Dance Masters of America.
